Advice?

Hey guys. I've been posting covers on Youtube for awhile now and I'm trying to improve my songwriting. So here's one of the songs I wrote. I'd really appreciate some criticism of any variety. Let me know what you think and how you think I can improve

I enjoyed it.
Just came home from work and looking for new music.
This hit the spot, Kudos.

1 tip, sing louder than the guitar.

Work on maintaining balance of your tone to pitch. This will prevent you from having that wine feel, or nasal feel. You do have a nice sound. I feel your balancing your sound, or pulling yourself out a little more will make your sound more defined. You do have a lot of qualities that people wish for, so don't get discouraged and work hard. I would say that if you want to define you be open, and practice. If you feel you have hit a stopping block step outside of your comfort zone, and try something new. That will make you more diverse with your sound. Just remember find who you are, and try your damn best to define yourself though don't loose your tone when bringing out your diaphragm. Also, do sit-ups and crunches. Helps with singing.

I would say that if you want to define yourself look for a voice coach, if you can't afford one a tone generator will assist with tone. If you feel you have hit a stopping block step outside of your comfort zone, and try something new IE. A new genre of music. That will also make you more diverse with your sound.
