Water Bottle...Thing (Read Desc.)

Someone on my facebook newsfeed took this picture. Apparently, whatever this was slithered out of his water bottle when he decided to rinse it out. I, being a naturally curious sort of person (at least when it comes to... this thing) was wondering if any of you fine gents and ladies would happen to know what this could be. Thanks in advance, and I hope I didn't ruin your night (or whatever time it happens to be for you).

I used to have a Camelback water satchel backpack which i took on trips, and never really made too much effort to dry it out fully after returning home, and after I left it wet for a pretty long time (close to a couple of years, i think) the thing was just chock-full of that disgusting biomass **** . Needlessly said, i burned it, but i figured it was some kind of water bacteria that develops in enclosed spaces.

If a soda gun at restaurant is not properly cleaned regularly something similar will build up in the drain tubes. Why that was in a water bottle I have no idea.

I work at a Restaurant, Pei Wei Asian Diner, We have those touch screen soda machines. This Is either a form of mold or algae mixed with whatever coloring additive of said drink. When I clean the machine, we get this but in larger forms.

It could be some form of algae that's been building over a long period of time.
But it could be something completely different.
