For the South Korean one.

How uninformed is the person wrote that?

We actually want to control our military and the US is handing over the command soon. Also, the reason why people might "want the Americans to tell us what to do" is because that saves a lot with our defense funding.

Informing people incase they actually believed that **** .

The second one is wildly misleading and grossly irresponsible. First off, Komen isn't a research organization. Their primary focus is education and prevention. As important as research is, it doesn't help those currently afflicted with breast cancer. Most breast cancers are highly treatable, especially with early detection, there just isn't that much need for breast cancer research. It's much more beneficial to use those funds to make sure people are going to the doctor, getting mammograms, performing self-exams, know how to get treatment should they find something, and so on and so forth.

Nancy Brinker may be a Grade-A cunt, but the Komen organization is not. Almost 80% of their funds go directly to their mission, which is much higher than most other charities. They are a business and have limited funds. Spending money on research is not what's best in the fight against breast cancer. That money is better spent elsewhere making sure people know how to prevent it, how to spot it, and what to do if they do find it. It's that old saying, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." You save more lives per dollar with education than with research.

Sorry for the rant y'all. I just think it's disgusting when people maliciously misinform people about the organization that saved my mother's life. This misrepresentation of data seriously hurts these organizations and inadvertently costs people their lives. Please don't let this "Fact" stop you from supporting them and please don't allow it to spread and misinform others.

That's not an airstrip in Africa, it's a scene from Goldeneye.

Why not just get pilots to hover the helicopters in the air while the Cessna lands, then put them back on the ship after it has landed?
#23 to #21 - themonkeyfrompluto (06/11/2014) [-]
getting all of them in the air is quite a job to do correctly, you can't let them into the air at once, and the tanks might have been empty.

As someone who has programmed in Assembler, I don't even want to imagine what kind of masochist that guy was when he was doing Roller Coaster tycoon.

On the second one - there's a book about that, called Sustenance Through Starvation. If you like very long books with good information, clever and interesting bits, and swaths of uninteresting chapters, look it up on Amazon.

Shameless advertising for a relative who wrote it

just get the leading starcraft player to do it

The second one.
They spend about 40% on high paychecks, another 40% on campaigns to get more donations, and just under 20% on actually funding the cure.

But surely even during inflation, the textbooks would have remained stationary?
#89 - oaaaa (06/11/2014) [+] (1 reply)
that must be 100% fake. there is so much ammo in every airbase and it would only take like 1 minute to equip the jets. overall it makes no sense.

also some of the others seem not real

what is assembly language?
#18 to #11 - sqenix (06/11/2014) [-]
it's a low-level programming language, which means it directly correspond to the hardware. Whilst being extremely fast, it's also ugly as **** to program, because you basically start from scratch and can't use any simplistic commands.
Now almost everyone uses high-level programming languages like JAVA, C++ which make life hell of a lot easier

It is kind of cool when you look at the Golden Record. You look an it and see all the dings and nicks and think it must be beat up. But nope, every ding, every scratch, every mark, is a piece of information, a greeting, or just a random tidbit from our culture.
