So my first contest came and went. I'd like to thank everyone who entered it. We'll be announcing winners on the 30th and 31st as we discussed. Also remember I'm posting longer stories every weekend on my site based off previous Microficiton so if you have a favorite you want to see expanded go vote here: www.btschweitzer.com/collected-fiction/macrofiction/. You guys should know by now that I'm open to feedback and suggestions on how to improve my writing as well as what you'd like to see so comment or feel free to message me. 11/10 agree with you but sometimes the things holding us back the most are our own selves. Abusive relationships are more complex than just that. Its part of a reason why writing them is so fascinating to me.

Well what I was going for was During a Hazing gone wrong a Frat pledge is duct taped to a light post and over the course of the night he is disemboweled by something. The media jump all over the story so the frat brothers are in their house talking about what to do next when the dead pledge and the thing that cut him open show up at the door. and they all lived happily ever after for about 5 minutes.

OH. I misunderstood you. What I share on here is all my original work. I write these and am trying to become an author professionally.
I did host a writing contest for the month of October but the submission deadline was 10/18. I probably won't be posting the winners here just because it isn't my work but the top placing will be on my site. I'm on fence of whether or not I should host another contest each month or not. If I do I'll include a link on my posts.

Gods have I been there before. Its awful. And the worst part is you know that not working will make you feel worse but you can't seem to make yourself work and it builds up like a karmic clusterfoodle and you are just doomed. At least until you do something small to get the motivation to do more. Falling forward on your face is seriously the only way to make progress sometimes.

Well for one these aren't as spooky, they're more like real situations which are heart-wrenching rather than scary. I prefer scary, but I'm sure a lot of people liked this more.

I'm flattered that anyone would look through the old ones. I didn't think anyone did.
The last one is about a widely feared and supernatural toll man of the high seas to whom vessels have to pay gold or they will be lost at sea. They demand tribute or offer death and is a personification of the dangers of sea faring. The figure doesn't have a name or concrete back story yet but I knew for awhile that I wanted to develop some stories about supernatural ghost pirates like the Funayurei, ghost ships, and sea monsters so I made that microcosm (Phoenicians of the Maroon Flag) and this is just the first story in it. Seems like a cheap answer but the worlds are all works in progress to some extent or others. I'll be rounding out this particular mythos some more in the next few batches. If you are interested I can let you know about it. Hope that answers your question!
