Oh boy, do you have lots to learn. I've been here for ages.

circadian, this is what you REALLY want for an answer.

Hydrogen Peroxide is a development of water with one extra oxygen molecule. That makes it H2O2. In blood, there is an enzyme called Catalase, which takes H2O2 and splits it into water and regular oxygen. About 500,000 splits are performed per second on an atomic/molecular level, and in the tick experiment, the blood in the tick splits, oxygen generates bubbles and it bursts and foams over. Check my profile, because I posted blood being added to H2O2 in a GIF with a stickied explanation beneath it.
