I work at a campground with a 3 floor, 100 year old hotel that's been empty for the last 30 years. (Picture is from 2nd floor hallway halfway down) It's already haunted, and I've got plenty of stories, but good god, if I wasn't such a pussy, I'd try this there.

Haunted? Tell me one of your stories. I wouldn't be surprised if there are noises coming from decaying 100 year old hotel that hasn't been used for 30 years.

Well, for starters, I got the job back in March of 2011. The place instantly gave me the willies, it was always a cool 55 or so degrees in there, even on 100 degree days. People instantly started asking me if the building was haunted, and there were even contractors who quit after one day on the job just from seeing things in the windows (Something I've yet to experience myself) and getting a bad feeling of being watched (I always chalked that feeling up to my boss, but it's a whole lot worse in the hotel itself) and after several months of working there, I was on the third floor after a storm checking every goddamn window for damage all on my own when my left arm got pulled at the elbow ever so slightly. I brushed it off as nerves and finished the job in a cold sweat. That's when my boss told me that someone did in fact die in the building back when it was still open, and that was before I mentioned being grabbed. Regardless, I kept the job and several months later a new coworker asked me if I'd ever heard the footsteps. I hadn't, but when we sat in the dining room on the first floor, sure as hell there's pacing along the entire 2nd floor hall (Pictured above) nonstop. Then we went in to the lobby and I got the bright idea to knock on the wall at the bottom of the grand staircase. Sonofabitch it knocked back, so I knocked 4 times, and the goddamn thing knocked back 4 times, all of this from the room across from the 2nd floor landing. We called upstairs and told it to make a noise so we'd know it was there. A bunch of **** fell over and a door slammed. That was the only time I'd ever seen a Marine go white as a sheet and suggest to get the hell out asap.
<The lobby, at high noon. That's how dark it is in there all the time.

That's very interesting story. 55 degrees on 100 degree day? You don't have any single AC running don't you? The hotel looks messy. What are you guys suppose to be doing? Cleaning up, so it can used again? If you have more of these stories, I would suggest posting them in morbid channel with along with some pictures.

That's the thing, there is absolutely no power, not even powerlines, running to the building. it's just freezing, all the time. The entire 25+ building campground was bought by my boss a couple years ago with plans to bring it back to it's former glory after 30 years of being unused. A hoarder owned it before he did and she quite literally filled the place floor to ceiling with stuff. There's a large (probably 75 by 50) dining room behind me in that picture up there that was so packed with stuff that you could open the door and go no further. And that's maybe a twentieth of the total amount of stuff she left behind, there's food in there, clothes, children's toys, old electronics, you name it. That, and it's haunted. Lovely place.
Most of the rooms look like this

If you have no power, then how do you light up this place? It bet it's really creepy at night. I would gladly to work at there if I lived nearby. How often do you experience any unusual activity?

Work in the daylight, flashlights after dusk. I've been in there and walked through the entire thing after dark with a correspondent for a ghost hunter TV show (They never came and filmed, but we might try again at the end of this summer if I get more evidence) and I could say everytime I go in the building, at least counting the feeling of being watched and followed

And to think, I get paid minimum wage to work here hahaha. Honestly though, it's quite the experience. This is the last building on the property that will be getting fixed, in the mean time there's a bitchin arcade and dance hall amongst Zip Lines and other stuff, so the job really isn't that bad. Just scary as hell when you're in the hotel.
<Above the attached kitchen section. I couldn't go past the top of the stairs that day because I swear it felt like someone was in the doorway right around the corner, I was quite literally paralyzed.
