Fun fact 1: The island was used by Napoleon to store weapons - none of the hundreds of troops and workers that visited the island during the Naopleonic wars reported anything suspicious.

Fun fact 2: The reason for the missing reports (see #1) may have been that the island Poveglia only served (along with several other islands) as a quaranteen site for new arrivals, and the island used to dump plague victims was Lazaretto Nouvo.

There's an island near Venice
They burried lots of dead people on it during the plague
Island is spooky
geniuses get the idea to put an insane asylum on the island
crazy people see ghosts but its k cause they are crazy
just makes it crap loads spookier
main docotor is crazy and puts holes in peoples heads
main doctor kills himself and is killed by dust ghosts
island is forever abandoned
people who try to visit immediately gtfo

the story is apparently true surprisingly
that's what makes it creepy

my old English teacher is writing a series of horror/ghost books, the most recent one "mask of death" had its plot center around this place, scary as place man.

not relevant but interesting, also, the guy i speak about is Richard Hammonds brother, true story, Andrew Hammond look him up

Still, with some work this would make for a good horror game.

English is actually more widely spoken around the world than most other languages. In fact, China has more fluent English speaking people than the United States does.
