I've seen quite a few posts on morbid channel recently about lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis, astral projections etc.
Most have them have been about people seeing dark figures in doorways and getting grabbed and NOPEing and all that ********
. Call me Captain Obvious here, but I think they may be fake.
I'll tell you a genuine story of when I accidentally fell into the lucid dream state;
>Lay on my bed in the dark just thinking
>Pretty late, rather tired, but had a lot on my mind
>Although I'm extremely tired, I can't sleep, this must have been what made me go into the state
>Everything goes black around me
>I'm not scared, there's nothing scary about it, in fact, I'm at peace
> I open my eyes, the room is just black, just the bed with me in it
>I'm stood over myself, staring down onto my sleeping body, I look the same but with the innocence of a child
>Very, very strange feeling overcomes me, but its nice
>This sensations lasts for an extended period of time
>I fade out again, and wake up
>Can't move my body, but I'm awake, so I assume I had stopped lucid dreaming and was stuck in sleep paralysis
>I feel like I'm being sat on top of, very strange
>Fall asleep again, wake up to warm sunlight on my face on a bright saturday morning
>Never felt so refreshed and relaxed in my entire life.
So yeah, its not exactly a 'morbid' story, but I just thought I'd share my REAL experience of lucid dreaming. Thanks for reading.
