To be honest, I'd be freaked out by that, even though I'm not scared of the average spider. But that type of spider is mostly harmless to humans, their venom can't kill a human, the worst they can do is flick their hairs with their back legs, irritating eyes and lungs.

Tl;dr: I'd dare letting it walk on me, but with some unease.

Ok, let's take a child who's never encountered a big spider, or a venomous snake. And I'm talking really young, not formed enough by parents, society etc. to know what to be afraid of or not. Is she brave, if she doesn't know the animal can kill her? No, she is without fear, she has no idea to be afraid of it. If you don't see the difference between that...

2: i like this argument you finally have some base! but first, prove all the things you have said. its hard to say by that age she wouldn't have at the very least seen the effects spiders have on people, hell she would have seen her parents fear when they saw it, which disproves this argument because she would have been able to register the fear she is supposed to feel.

No, that's the point exactly: children who aren't pointed out that some animals are dangerous/scary, or see their parents be scared of animals (classic example is mom yelling when she sees a mouse or spider), they don't have the fear of animals yet.
