on a side note, how about some zombified/dangerous animals eh? The natural order must have shifted with all these humans gone, so animals must have complete freedom to roam around and make meals out of survivors. at least introduce a pet for our main guy.
I'm thinking in nevada there would be bears or coyotes dicking around cities and the forests at least...
