What people don't understand about killing is it changes you. They claim they understand, but until they hold the life of a person in their hands they never will. When you end a life, it changes you, it either turns you cold, where you can continue to kill and in the end you'll only enjoy it. You'll eventually become a husk, an emotionless embodiment of your own savagery as you crave for another kill. Or instead you'll live with a piece of the person you killed. For the rest of your life that person will haunt you. You'll see their eyes when you close yours, hear their pleas, the ones you ignored. It changes you, rather it turns you into a savage or a numb being roaming and waiting for his end to come. Eventually, the kill will strip you of your very soul.

I dont know, I'd say im a cold hearted killer. I shot someone while playing call of duty today. Right as I was about to pull the trigger, I saw the mans face, and remembered that he would never see his wife or kids ever again, and they would never see him again. I stood there for a while, then pulled the trigger. I will never be the same man ever again. I am 5th prestige and have only gained levels by capturing objectives, never actually killing someone.

My dad used to be an ambulance driver. He has seen like 30-40 people die. Here is a story that still gives him nightmares 20 years later.
>dad is called to an accident scene, some bike has crashed and broken his arm and a few ribs
>my dad gets there, sees that the guy will be fine as long as he gets the hospital
>dad helps the guy over the ambulance
>suddenly a drunk driver slams into the biker at full speed
>the biker is flung over the car
>my dad runs over to help him
>discovers that the biker is torn in half at the waist, but is somehow still conscious
>the biker is screaming at my dad to please help him
>my dad tries to stop the bleeding, but it's just too much
>just before the biker dies, he grabs my dads hand and says "please, please don't let me die like this, I have a family"
This story is entirely true.
My dad saw tons of **** like this.
But he also has happy stories of like he saved a week-old child, by doing heart compressions with a single one of his fingers.

Damn. I feel sorry for your father. Watching someone die, and being unable to help them, even though you're right there, is a terrible thing to have happen. Your father must be strong of will, or mind, to deal with that. Be kind to your father; he needs it.

My dad was in a car accident once in which he crashed out of the wind shield (he wasn't wearing a seatbelt) and into a trash bin on the other side of the road. He married my mum a month after he came out of his coma.

He almost got swallowed up completely by quick sand while catching blue crabs.

He and my granddad rolled down the side of a rocky mountain, in a car, that went down half a mile. They missed every dangerous rock on the way down.

mfw you can't be Brazilian without near-death experiences
