you know, a lot of the "homeless" people actually have a home. And people who do this daily can make a very decent amount of money, about 40k a year. And have you ever noticed that a lot of homeless people seem to disappear when it is raining/ snowing out?

I have seen these "homes" and they are tarps underneath bridges. One drive through Detroit and you see a lot of this.

I don't live in Detroit. Where I live, (Boulder, Colorado), almost every homeless person is not homeless.

Then are they just poverty stricken and not homeless then? Or do they frequent shelters or something? I don't know what you define as homeless.

they are neither of the above, they act as they are homeless to make some extra cash on the side. And even if people give money to homeless people, they spend it on booze, cigarets, weed, coke, etc.

They aren't making enough money to pay for a home so they might as well make life more enjoyable. But i don't think they can support a coke addiction being that poor.

so why should we give them money if they are going to just spend it on weed and shit. And a lot of them in Boulder are dirty fucking hippies who are like 22 and could easily get their life back together.

I don't think you have seen what real homelessness looks like so I can't continue this discussion. "Don't confuse ignorance with a point of view" -Dilbert
