>be me EMT in training
>ride outs with the local ambulance companies
>one of the calls we got was "complications of pregnancy"
>we arrive just before fire, tell fire we got this
>go inside
>woman is at least 600 lbs
>***************************.jpeg
>remember the call was complications of pregnancy
>EMT proctor is standing there slack jawed
>medic regains composure gives us our orders
>check her out
>says she hasn't had her period in a few months and today something fell out into toilet
>three of us attempt to get her in the back of the ambulance
>her 100 lb soaking wet Über Beta lover stands there
>offering his help by mumbling "I can help if you guys want" under his breath
>*****************.png
>four of us manage to load her
>back of ambulance was very ******* crowded
>hospital can't get her a bed for near of an hour
>she is way too big for the stretcher
>I have to hold one of her sides on there for the entire hour
>found out later her "miscarriage" was just complications of being fat as ****
>almost dropped out of EMT program that day

Okay this one is from a clinical I did at hospital about 40 minutes from my house, also while EMT in training.
>second day of clinical experience
>day started out pretty slowly
>mostly been chatting with the nurses
>EMTs roll in a guy that is yelling incoherently
>guy is yellow, I mean ******* YELLOW Like an overripe onion
>yellow - jaundice is typically a sign of liver failure
>we get him situated, changed and hooked up to the monitors and such
>turns out his liver is so gone that the resulting toxin build up has killed his mind
>every five minutes he ripping his heart monitor or his pulse/ox off
>end up giving him a folly catheter (a tube up his junk to get rid of urine)
>now has something else to rip out
>move him to first spot by nurses' station when it opens up
>it's been five minutes his alarms haven't gone off
>*******************.jpeg

Part Two:
>open his certain from intuition
>standing buck naked yanking on folly catheter
>Oh **** that's a lot of blood
>no time to get gloves
>grab his wrist
>he yells he needs to go to the bathroom
>in desperation yell back that he already is going as that is what the catheter is for
>nurses arrive
>decide this justifies using restraints even though we weren't given permission to
>about a half hour later, his alarm goes off again
>he pulled his hand through the restraint
>along with most of the skin on his hand off
>bandage hand
>strap him down in like six different ways
>we was there for most of the 12 hour shift
Almost quit that day too.

I think this will be the last one, I don't think any of the rest have been bad enough to warrant a story.
>First call of the day
>vehicle rollover
>get on scene close to last
>single car accident
>they say there were six guys packs in that little car
>well, what used to be a car
>only count five guys
>where the **** in number six!?!
>our unite gets assigned to the driver
>bad attitude from the start
>ask him his name he starts swearing in Spanish at some dude walking past
>finally get his name so ask his age
>"yo **** you puta"
>dude we are trying to help you
>he stops insulting us but refuses to talk anymore which is fine by me
>spend a long time at hospital as all five arrive
>my guy is the only with a bad attitude but also the only one fully fluent in English
>finally get full story the guy he cussed out was the missing sixth guy
>sixth guy was never in car but caused the accident by jumping in front of the car
>friend of theirs he knew they were joyriding
>car rolled at least 6 times
That was the first call of that day.

Diabeetus effects blood circulation and if a person with severe diabeetus gets a cut or some **** on their foot, it can easily become gangrenous and can fall off.
