Agreed... Poor Malarchuk. Only us Buffalonians have this kind of luck. Pretty miraculous that he lived... Nice acquisition at the deadline in Mason, btw.

i liked what they did at the deadline this year, which was pretty much nothing other than mason, its gonna be nice to have a backup that you could start a game or two and not throw the game away

If you think about death, yeah. But visually? no, in my opinion Kevin's injury is worse.

I know he didn't die. A guy (an EMT I think) quickly went to him to put pressure on his jugular to stop the bleeding.

Hockey and basketball's atmosphere are crazily different though. And when this guy's leg decided to blow up, people in the stands were crying and throwing up. At a hockey game, the crowd would be chanting "HACK THE BONE." So ya know, just bringing up that point.

Don't tell me the audience took that Malarchuk incident well. There were several reported cases of fainting, vomiting, and heart attacks. Most people aren't numb to blood suddenly squirting out of a man's throat, especially if you were to witness it live in front of you.

People were vomiting at the Malarchuk incident too.
