(The facts are slightly longer but suck on it )
Human Pillars/Hitobashira
The great thing about myths is that they’re just myths, however this one has solid evidence. Imagine your home, your workplace or your school being made from hundreds of human remains, that’s a human pillar. It is a form of sacrifice which can be traced back to feudal Japan where important people like samurai would volunteer to become hitobashira, they would have to commit suicide then their bodies would be encased within a part of a buildings foundation, it is believed the spirits of the hitobashira became guardians of the building warding off any evil spirits whilst obviously adding support to a buildings structure.
An example of hitobashira is Matsue Castle, Shimane, built in the 17th century. The construction wasn’t going very well so to steady the structure they used human sacrifices. During the Bon Festival, the castle guards captured the prettiest dancer, killed her and embedded her corpse in the walls. After that spoopy things happened whenever a girl would dance in the streets of Matsue, the entire castle would shake so dancing in the streets got banned thus no more admin parties could be held. Over the years many human remains have been found in buildings proving it wasn't an uncommon practice. GOD BLESS CEMENT.
The Red Room
Admin’s pop ups are annoying at the best of times but at least they don’t cause death. The red room curse is a Japanese pop up with a red door and the question “Do you like the red room” in Japanese, if you can’t read Japanese you’re already ****** . You answer a few questions, like you would in one of Addy’s polls and then your name appears at the bottom of a list of names, this is the last thing you’ll ever do as the next day you’ll be found dead in your room where you’ve committed suicide, your walls are painted red with your blood, it’s a great design idea if you’re low on cash and want to redecorate your room.
There is an element of truth to this myth, in 2004 a 14 year old student killed her best friend in the infamous crime called the “Sasebo slashing”, when police investigated her browser history they found mlp porn a red room video.
Isonade
Isonade is left shark’s and Jaw’s older brother. It is a shark which has fins like a cheese grater which grate your flesh, they use their teeth and fins to fillet you and drag you down to the ocean floor.
#4 Ittan-Momen
Although it looks harmless the Ittan-Momsen is actually a sadistic roll of cotton that just flies around in the wind at night, if it sees you it’ll either wrap itself around your neck choking you or will wrap itself around your head suffocating you. Being murdered by a big roll of cloth after walking to the shop for some doritos and mountain dew sounds pretty scary to me.
Aka Manto
It gets increasingly harder to take a **** in peace in Japan every year because of guys like the Aka Manto. This Japanese cape wearing ghost approaches people in bathroom stalls and asks them “Would you like red or blue paper?” if you choose red your flesh is sliced into ribbons until you’re red, if you choose blue you’re strangled to death, if you try to be cocky by choosing any other colour, you’re dragged to hell. There are many variations of this myth like getting your skin flayed off your back if you choose red or getting your blood drained if you choose blue. Either way stay away from toilets.

Tsuchigumo
Looking for a new rad pet? Try the Tsuchigumo, a mash up of monsters with the face of a demon, the body of a tiger and the limbs of a spider. They basically eat travellers. Apparently a powerful Japanese warrior killed a tsuchigumo and 1,990 skulls fell out its stomach. Brutal.

Kuchisake-Onna
A more modern urban legend is the Kuchisake-Onna, a woman who wears a medical mask and asks kids if she’s pretty. Being actually very beautiful, the kids often say yes, she then removes her mask and reveals her mouth has been slit on both sides and asks again, if the kid says no she cuts the kid in half, if they say yes she slits their mouth like hers. In the 1970’s there was a genuinely big scare in Japan that she was wondering about, teachers had to escort children home from school.
