Why? Because a bunch of minimum wage laborers put up a stage wrong, when they're forced to go so quickly for state fairs, because you somehow tie that together to make it indicative of what the best humanity has to offer can do?

That's pretty **** logic.

One of my best friends works the Indiana State Fair almost every summer. When I saw this on the news I had to text him to make sure he was ok. Turns out he was supposed to be right up in the front when it collapsed, but he changed his plans at the last minute.

It scared the **** out of me.

I was there, my girlfriend at the time was dragging me to a sugarland concert, quite horrific actually being there.

That's actually pretty sad. No disaster like that has ever happened around my city because it's boring.

Old people driving down the street is the only disaster around here

I was at a small town festival when this happened, I was also in Indiana. We got a squall line coming in and we all dispatched. No one in Indianapolis did even after the storm was warned with 70+ winds which could easily take down that stage. No one took the weather service seriously. The only way they'd dispatch if there was an EF5 tornado 200 yards away, just to make sure.
