There will always be a bit of latency if you use a wireless mouse. It might only give you a few ms worth of lag, but that can be all the difference it takes in an online game.

Plus it's batteries might die in the middle of a game or something.

My mouse cursor moves the instant I move the mouse. Any difference is no doubt so imperceptible that the human brain can't even take advantage of it. Meaning, any situation where I'm about to die or miss the kill with a wireless mouse, a wired mouse would not make the difference because I'm not even fast enough to utilize the difference. An advantage is only an advantage if you actually take advantage of it.

Yeah uhm, I'm sure you didn't notice any difference in the sliding nor the response-time.
What kind of casual games do you play..

Then again, half-assed opinion. We could bring in the facts about the DPI, but I figure you don't know anything about that. What mouse have you got?

There are a lot of logitech wireless.
I can't even seem to find the DPI on logitech's website when looking at the mice.

Ever tried using someone else's mouse who got a proper high DPI gaming mouse? My sister and parents can barely control my mouse because it reacts so fast to touch.
5600 DPI

I'm looking at this logitech wireless -gaming mouse-.
It's only at 2500 DPI max.

Oh, by the way. For a MOBA game like LoL, my mouse is highly superior. It has extra key-bindable numbers on the side for easy use of the abilities.

To see the difference, you would also need a proper mousepad. A good mouse won't work it's wonders on ****** mousepads. Even if it's great, it won't slide properly. Which may be another factor in your claim that it is no different.

Dude, alienwares are basically the mac of PCs. Sure, granted that they are running on windows they actually can game, but the hardware comes at a significantly higher price than what you really should be paying, which is basically what apple does. A lot of bucks are put into the brand name and the flashy looks.

That being said, I don't suppose that there's that much that can be done about laptops. You can't really build one yourself, and gaming prebuilts basically all have some strong price markup.

tl;dr don't buy alienware unless laptop and you have lots of cash and have checked other brands for alternatives

Its nice, 15.6 in and a huge powerhouse, but its also a monster of laptop in terms of thickness and weight. Sure you can suck it up and just carry the additional ~8lbs all around campus, but its just inconvenient. Maybe it wouldn't be if the "power brick" wasnt the size of a brick.

I really enjoy it, but I don't want to tell you to buy a game and have it suck for you. It's become my go to game for how well it works on my mac-in 4 years I don't think it's crashed once.

There are a ton of ways to play minecraft, not just the survival mode that people intuitively play. Go into creative and start messing around with redstone and command blocks. Join a server. Download a few adventure maps-there's minecraft mariokart and minecraft super smash bros among other things (although I think the super smash bros only works on older versions of the game). Try a hardcore world. Make an adventure map. They are also still adding new stuff pretty frequently too.
