The Lavender Town one is false.
The Gameboy was unable to play stereo sound what is essential for binaural beats.
(Sounds that are on a slightly different pitch in your left an right ear).
These sounds are the only one that can affect your body by stimulating your "Nucleus olivaris", giving you acoustic hallucinations.
It is not possible to affect your body and your perception in other other way by audio.
(Except really loud or high frequencies but that is not under consideration.)

Thank you for saving me a bit of time. I was just reading a lot on it and I came to that conclusion. But you helped confirm it.

I read so much of this.

Though it may not affect the body directly in that manner, surely just the creep sound can alter mood and thought just like any song does in its own way.

I just googled binaural beats... this **** is intense.. separately the tones are normal tones.. but combined.. i feel like I am in a horror movie. There are whining repetitive tones that sound like creepy wind. And sometimes it feels like everything is slowing down and getting deeper, and every sound becomes bitty and rough. And when i take out my headphones, everything sounds gurgled and it feels like I can HEAR silence.

Isn't the Lavender town one a CreepyPasta? It sounded a lot like one where kids would see spirits that would drive them crazy to the point they'd scratch their own eyes out and kill themselves. One of the detectives trying to figure out what was causing it started to see the spirits of the dead children and his dead wife telling him to join them and he took his own life. I may have that wrong. It's been a long time since I read it. It's worth the read if you like Pokemon CreepyPasta and can find it.

Actually there is another sound that can cause distinct physiological reactions and that is infra-sound. They have been cited to cause a variety of issues most commonly headaches. In recent news there is speculation that wind turbines produce infra-sound which is damaging to humans although the evidence is minimal as its a relativly new exploration.
Here's a wind turbine article

Oh and btw. if people get headaches from the theme it's often just the "placebo effect". You just imaging that feelings.
It's like someone gives you a harmless pill, telling you it will make you feel relaxed. After a while, you will feel relaxd, but you imagine it only.

all right, first of all, sorry OP but I don't believe that was the original song from the Pocket Monsters Green Beta, that was the one that was said to have bad effects. You posted the song from the original Pokemon Red/Blue ROM.
And also to the person I'm responding to, You're right, to an extent. It wasn't just one frequency that did the job, it was a few fired off in rapid succession, and the tone in which they were delivered. not in the vid OP posted, but I did some looking around and found the real one. (I had already listened to the one OP posted) As soon as I read your comment, talking about the placebo effect, my headache went away. Then I listened to the real video, from the Pocket Monsters Green Beta. I would say I got an even worse condition (around 2:18 in the video.) I'm 17, and even I got seriously depressed. Let's just say, my pocketknife is now in the trash, and I never want to see it again.

I will give it credit, it was an eerie sound, but nothing I would personally believe would soley contribute to inhibiting actions in a person. That is the story behind it that puts a lot of people in that trance, storytelling gone right. Milton Babbit made songs that were like these, that were just so ominous (it wasn't 8-bit) but it really made you feel like walking away from the music, I don't normally try to get away from any kind of music, but that man has made me do that. But on topic, I still think it's the placebo effect, but that's just because I personally wasn't affected, I also went in with a different mindset as the rest as well.

Deep down you've probably expected a worse reaction to the real song, so you've got one ;)
I listened to the whole thing and don't feel any different whatsoever. Actually I think the guy/girl who created this did a nice job creating an eerie theme. Creating good themes seems to become a lost art, nowadays you usually just get bombarded with what I'd call orchestral background noise

Tried listening to it(my headphones are busted and only one side works) and at first it was almost painful to listen to...then I had to stop the video...I felt really uncomfortable. Not necessarily depressed, but a very strong sense of foreboding....only real way I could describe it was like I was being watched....really unsettling.

That's because you listened to the ******** about it being a scary song, placebo has a strong hold on stupid people. I recommend Diagnose: Lebensgefahr or the like.
