Oni are creatures originally from Japanese folklore. Commonly the word is translated as Ogre, Devil or Demon depending on which of its characteristics you wish to emphasize. They are humanoids, usually large and strong, who take the consumption of alcohol very seriously.
They can have a variety of skin-colours, but red and blue are the most common.
You're welcome.
There are examples of clearly evil oni but overall they're more chaotic than evil. Though, in more recent times they have also taken on the role of guardians and "good guys" in some contexts.
I'm pretty sure that's Asura from Street Fighter... but honestly that particular design is extremely prevalent in Japanese culture so it's hard to say.
Yeah Akuma.. sorry the design I'm referring to is an Asura which is like a master martial artist that is nearly demonic in how powerful they are.. based of the Buddhist war god or something.
same basic principle/design, that's what I mean by it being do prevalent. White (sometimes other colors) spiky haired, massive muscled, martial artist that ***** everything up.
