You kids forget the gulf war. Iraq had shiny new t-72s and they got turned to swiss cheese from 2000m away at night by m1 abrams. You can only polish shit so much

First off I mentioned the T-80 as well as the T72. Second, the Iraqi T-72's were shitty export versions with old munitions, whose crews had been demoralized by the month long american air campaign and which were faced with a massive armoured assault. I can't be bothered to check but they probably lacked infra-red range-finders too, which Warsaw pact forces would not.

Yeah, I think you're right, the way the uniform is worn and the red splash on the left ones shoulder make me think the same thing.
