I really don't like plugging my show, but I DJ a local metal radio show and we've been competing with the Dubstep and Pop Punk shows in popularity. If anyone could like us on facebook, I couln't thank you enough www.facebook.com/pages/The-Stress-Factor/94578931328?fref=ts

Just a rumor, but Eminem might tour in Europe only, (So far) with Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, The Creator, The guy from Loiter Squad.

Eminem and Tyler? Naise.

I'm going to be missing the Volbeat concert this month.

It's really rare when awesome bands come anywhere near Nebraska.

The worst part is that when I try to express my angst, people ask "What's Volbeat?"

my best friend's favourite band. She wishes so bad that she could go to their concert, but we're from Europe

I hate living in the Southeast... I ******* hate it.
User avatar #232 to #231 - needmoredairy (05/03/2013) [-]
southeast? like florida area? are you ******* kidding me? Morbid Angel, Obituary and Deicide formed in Tampa, practically the beginning of death metal and even Cannibal Corpse plays there a lot.
#237 to #232 - anonymous (05/05/2013) [-]
The part of Florida I live in is more like Alabama. No metalheads here.
Besides, I'm not a huge fan of death metal. I like some of it, but it's far from my favorite subgenre.
User avatar #205 to #188 - smashingprodigy (05/02/2013) [-]
I'm only gonna be seeing Iron Maiden and Megadeth in the east coast. I really wish I could go to the San Bernandino show.
User avatar #207 to #205 - needmoredairy (05/02/2013) [-]
have you ever seen testament or overkill?
User avatar #208 to #207 - smashingprodigy (05/02/2013) [-]
Unfortunately, I haven't. I wish I could, but from what I read they won't be playing in N.C. which is where the first concert will be.
#210 to #208 - needmoredairy (05/02/2013) [-]
yeah its most likely because testament formed here in california that they dont go to many east coast states, i know they do europe tours though. As for overkill they formed in NJ so if you ever hear about them playing in your area possible, i would definitely reccomend going. i saw both of them at the house of blues in january, when testament played formation of damnation the pit ******* exploded and i got thrown across a 15 foot pit and smashed my nose into some dudes kneecap. Good times.

its going to be my first time seeing megadeth though, i expect nothing less than a melted face and some cracked ribs.
<their new album
User avatar #211 to #210 - smashingprodigy (05/02/2013) [-]
It's unfortunate that Testament doesn't visit the east coast all that much, but I have family in California, so maybe one day I'll pay them a visit. I've been doing some investigating on some local rock shows and found out there was a hard rock/punk festival about an hour away. Unfortunately, it's in 2 days and didn't know anything about it until yesterday. Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Rise Against (one of my favorite bands from my teen years) are all playing. I rarely ever see metal around here.

I can imagine smashing your nose after an explosion is a memory you want to share with friends. Haha, but yeah, I'll keep a lookout for Overkill. Maybe my experience will be something as fun as yours. It's gonna be my first time seeing Megadeth as well and I'm ******* excited.
#213 to #211 - needmoredairy (05/02/2013) [-]
Be sure to go with some friends if you can and if not, make friends at the show, it will make the experience 1000% better. I can see where youre coming from though, and its a shame that one group cant be everywhere at once. And if you ever do come to california, be prepared because we invented the circle pit and witnessed the very birth of thrash - Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer(they literally formed in my city),and how could i forget, Exodus- as well as some early death metal groups like possessed . i know i am probably forgetting a bunch and i could name death metal groups til the day i die, so i will try to shorten this as much as possible.
Wish you a good one and good luck on your hunt for local shows!

Thanks! Bands I like rarely come around here, but when they do, I'll be sure to get tickets the first day they're being sold. I'm going to Iron Maiden/Megadeth with a friend of mine and I'll be seeing a lot of people from my city as it seems, so I'm positive I'll have a great time. While I'm not too big on death metal, I am easing my way into it. Nothing better than expanding your mind to new music. One concert I wish I could've been at was the big 4. Maybe someday they'll do it again. Thanks again!

Yeah California gets a lot of good shows, like Bonebash usually has some good ones, a few years ago it was The Scorpions and Sammy Hagar.

It is SOOOO hard to be a DragonForce fan in the USA. They NEVER seem to come here.

Just looked up past tour dates. They seemed to have come to the USA, BUT the closest they ever got to me was Minneapolis.

I was somehow spared from that feel last week. I got to see Opeth and Katatonia last Tuesday. ******* brutal, got to touch Mikael Akerfeldt when he was reaching for the crowd.

I wanted to go to The Warped tour, but it was in Australia and I didn't have enough money and all my favourite bands went and then I was sad.
Listen to my problems FJ. The problems of an unemployed female who just wants to see her bands play
User avatar #165 to #159 - pleasureabledino (05/02/2013) [-]
Uhhh, hate to be ''that guy'', but Warped Tour isn't until December. Unless you mean the Soundwave Festival we have, that's all metal, rock, and punk.
User avatar #167 to #165 - ilickrainbows (05/02/2013) [-]
God. I always get the two mixed up.
User avatar #169 to #167 - pleasureabledino (05/02/2013) [-]
Haha, they're going to be kind of close together with Warped in December and Soundwave in Feb, but this will be the first year since 1996 or something that Warped has been in Australia.
#158 - delivering (05/02/2013) [-]
I have a reverse version of that feel.

Coheed and Cambria is playing literally everywhere, except in Europe.

And even when they come to Europe, it's nowhere near me...and I'm kinda broke.

God damnit.
User avatar #155 - Durp (05/02/2013) [-]
Oh the feels of being an overseas fan.
