Yeah that's like saying "i hate all rock". Rock is such a huge genre that it doesn't make sense to refer to it as that. Sub-genres are really the only way to describe things anymore. Calling something just Pop or just Rock is very ignorant in my opinion

There's just a lot of variety in metal, and there are disagreements over what qualifies as metal. Other genres don't have this as much.

Since metalheads are usually a minority, most have learned to be tolerant of mainstream and any other kind of music. They couldn't survive socially if they insulted everyone else's music
