I was a scout my whole almost my whole life, from cubscouts to boy scouts. I loved every part of it and all the camping that I did. I had fun with my friends and worked my way up high into the ranks. I've achieved Life rank which is 2nd highest rank you can get. The next one is Eagle Scout but you have to get it before you turn 18. My birthday is coming up soon, I possibly won't be getting it.

homelessgus (07/07/2012) [-] you should really work for it, depending on how close you are, i got my last papers signed 2 days b4 my 18th birthday ( i joined at 15). when you look back on it it really isnt all that hard compared to some things irl, and i wonder why people think it's a huge achievement. dont tell them that though lol.

I have experienced some pretty fucking amazing barely-made-it Eagle Scout stories, and let me tell you, if a guy who only hit Star about 6 months before his 18th finished his Eagle project in the one month before his birthday, you probably can, too. It will be extremely difficult, but you cannot quit on it. Seriously, don't. Get irritated at your parents for telling you to complete it all you want, but don't you dare disappoint. You can do it, bro. I would help you with your project if I lived coincidentally close to you.

I know but I love the program too much to just quit. I plan on becoming a leader once I turn 18. Do a good turn daily: Last Tuesday I was waiting waiting in the car for my dad to get out of the store when some old guy couldn't hold onto his cart when he was putting groceries in his car so it started to roll downhill. Instead of rolling staight across the road into the sidewalk it decides to turn and start going downhill right in the middle of the street so I rush out chasing the cart down the road, luckily no cars were coming at the time, and manged to get him his stuff back. He tried offering me a reward but I simply denied it as I'm just trying to serve my community.
