help?

so I'm having some trouble, started playing mass effect 3 on xbox 360 and hadn't played in a while, noticed videos on the citadel dlc decided it was worth looking at and downloaded both parts (as well as protean follower dlc which links with this as well). However it became apparent that although both dlc's had downloaded i can't play either of them, no mention of Javik and no meals from anderson even after the attack on the citadel. I checked to make sure both parts of the citadel dlc where installed and the protean follower was as well but so far nothing has come up, i tried re downloading but again nothing, and any attempt to search for an answer is met with "look at the email box! thats how you start stupid!" any feedback appreciated, have a picture of best romance for your troubles.
