Before everyone was over geared as **** it was actually a tense fight as if the DPS was slow you could have multiple waves at once... but yeah it quickly became the "sit and wait" fight.
That fight is annoying though, having to tank that **** while dps refused to stand in an alcove thing to los them into a tidy pack, trying to pick up aggro on 5 casters was the worst.
As non-official server player, I still play WOTLK sometimes, and the fight is hard without people geared atleast on 220 average ilvl. While rogue guy likes to jump on clothies ignoring aggro for fev seconds, he can easily 3 hit them making it hard for tanks and healers.
Btw: It's Halls of Reflections
I can't help but see this and remember the battle for Helm's Deep. That part where he hits that dude in the balls. That poor guy got hit in the balls with an ax.
I actually live on the same island as John Rhys-Davies and he's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, I see him out shopping sometimes. My girlfriend talks to him all the time as the most convenient way to get off this little rock is by boat (she works for the sea terminal.) I know of an occasion when a colleague of the missus (who has an autistic son who LOVES LOTR) politely asked him if he would greet his son when he met John while out shopping. Without hesitation John burst into Gimli's voice (and later, Treebeard's) for the autistic son and made the little guy's day.
why thumb someone down just because they use a figure of speech you dislike
why go out of your way to "punish" their post for that?
and oh, I made a small mistake in my comment so now I am a dumb **** ?
why so judgemental
Because it's pretentious and I've always hated it. I'm not in the mood for apologising even though I should probably do that so at least be happy for me admitting I should apologize
Huge LOTR fan here but I am curious. We all know that they used a lot of angle tricks to make people seem shorter or taller but I always wondered why they picked a 6'1 guy to play Gimli. Don't get me wrong, I freaking love him as Gimili, but wouldn't have been easier to find someone who was short and stocky?
Unless the guy was an actual dwarf it wouldn't matter how tall he is because you still cant show him on camera next to the co-stars, where hes 5,4 or 6,1 you have to use the tricks and **** to make him look 4 ft
All right mother ****** , I don't rant much but today I'm here to deliver one about my man John Rhys-Davies, AKA mother ******* Gimli. I have met this glorious being sent to mankind and I can guarantee he is the sweetest ******* guy you'll ever meet. I met this legend amongst men and he asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up and I told him, then that glorious bastard gave me access to special groups to help me towards that career, I had a 15 minutes conversation with him and he was nothing but kind. When I had to leave he pulled out a picture of Gimli that he ******* had with him and signed that **** for me, I didn't even ask, he did it out of kindness. If that wasn't good enough, he did the same for my very young brother with a picture of man-ray he had on him. He's ******* man-ray, from spongebob. After thanking him he gave me a powerful dwarven handshake and went on with his life. Now let's move onto why this man is a ******* legend outside of me meeting him.
There's his ******* wife, who was unfortunately struck with alzheimer's, did this stop John? NO IT ******* DIDN'T! MY MAN JOHN RHYS-DAVIES PROMISED NEVER TO DIVORCE HER NO MATTER WHAT! She did, however, pass away in 2010, which is terrible news but John didn't break his promise, thanks to him, she lived a happy life.
Swelling up like a balloon every day due to allergic reaction to the makeup, running up and down mountains for take after take would make you grouchy too.
and im pretty sure theres been 3 different actors for the mountain and hes only had a handful of fights which im sure were heavily choreographed so whatever you saw was probably wrong
