Bring back the Skeleton key.

And thus the greatest lie in Skyrim was told.
Unless you leveled the perk where you get the unbreakable lockpick^^

I did the Thieves' guild questline and now I own the skeleton key, no more need for picklocks, I highly recommend the skeleton key

I am sure it's Skyrim since I never played Oblivion, the skeleton key works like a lockpick but never breaks, just do the whole Thieves guild questline in Riften (I was a kid when Oblivion was out and my parents never approved of videogames because I became addicted)

Bro...
You should totally play Oblivion....
Personally, I think it's better than Skyrim in a lot of ways.
For example, in Skyrim you can't create a spell so you can touch your Shadowmere (who, by the way, is ACTUALLY INVINCIBLE instead of just tougher) and have it run super fast over the surface of a lake for a limited time.
In Skyrim, you can't enchant a full set of fur armor with 100% Chameleon rendering you completely invisible without the negative effects of actual Invisibility which therefore makes you essentially invincible, which lets you run up to a guard, punch him in the face and stare at him until he says "Must be my imagination..."" and walks away. You also can't go into a dungeon and shoot a bandit in the face with a Dremoran arrow (which weigh 1 pound each) and watch as he runs up to where you are, STARES YOU IN THE ******* FACE, says "Damn rats..." and walks away with an arrow in his eye.
Also, the guy who gives you Shadowmere, Lucien LaChance, is such a cool guy and such a bro that he's the dude you summon with that Dark Brotherhood spell. Even a few hundred years after he was wrongfully strung up and stripped of his flesh, he still wants to help out the main character...
In Skyrim, you don't get to fight an 80-foot Mehrunes Dagon.
In Skyrim, you don't get Glass armor that actually looks sexy and like it's made of glass.
In Skyrim, you can't level up your Acrobatics skill and/or super fortify it with enchantments, which increases your jump height enough to let you ******* jump over buildings.
In Skyrim, you can't create a spell that summons a full set of Daedric armor and weapon as well as lights you on fire and makes you shine like the sun. I did. I called it "Holy Armor".

Also you get to be bros with Sheogorath. If that's not enough to convince you, then nothing will.

TL;DR play Oblivion. It's so much more flexible than Skyrim. Also it's on Steam, so do that I guess.
And watch this: youtu.be/2fxVeAVl2I8

Also, you get to keep you Skeleton Key forever. Though it fortifies your Lockpicking skill by 40 and makes you require more experience to level it up as a result.
I usually just stuff it into a drawer in my house until I hit level 100 Lockpicking...

You get it but to complete the quest and become a full-fledged nightingale you have to give it up.

Well, it really decreases the amount of lockpicking xp you get, and it eventually just stops it until you put it back. You also can't get the Master Thieves Guild Armour until you complete the quest

There's better armour in the game, and who really cares about lockpicking xp when you have the skeleton key.

Depends on your playstyle, but yeah. Similarly good armour can be made though.
