Okay, here is the deal.
I'm currently playing Lol. And i have Dota2. Dota seems to be a phattish game after you play Lol. But Dota has awesome graphics for a MOBA game. These are for in-game stuff.
But lol has some unique and awesome mechs. Like Runes and Masteries. You can pretty much play every champion in every role with this system. And "ELO" system on lol is a bitch i'm not gonna lie. Low elo playerbase (both game skills and community) is the apple that DOTA community trying to shoot. But in high elo games, Both skills and age shows a big difference. Most people who doesn't play lol probably have seen some stupid pics or comics like, LE ME IN CHAMP SELECT LE SOMEONE SAID LE TOP NO I'M TOP YOU BITCH TOP OR FEED and stuff like that. It's nearly impossible to see players fighting for position, because players knows the game well and they can play every role.

akinto (01/28/2013) [-] I hate the community in LoL I've been playing it for 4 years now and I still only play Co-op vs AI or the occasional pvp game if I'm talking to someone on skype. I get sick of people fighting over lanes, telling me I'm crap or feeding, I can imagine that you don't have those problems at lv30 and ranked matches.
The problem I have with DOTA 2 is that almost nothing is explained properly and you get every character from the moment you make an account, which is overwhelming for new players. That's probably why they are giving so many DOTA keys away on steam, otherwise only the hardcore gamers would be tempted to play it.
(Seriously I got 13 keys within 2 weeks of installing the game and only playing it once)
