You don't need armor or mag res. Your meditate gives +300 in each. His alpha strike and lich bane procs do all the damage, and they reset on every kill while his ultimate is up. Concerning his meditate, though, it can get interrupted, so a high CC team will fuck you up.

I'm going to be completely honest ap yi requires almost 0 skill as long as you're smart enough to ult before getting kills and keep ulting right before kills you can just keep using alpha strike and get triples-pentas without a problem.
