Well said.

I honestly don't understand how people prefer it over Dota 2. The map and skill design makes every game so very stale. Quite sad, because they have some cool concepts.

hmm yeah, but league is really noob friendly in comparison, things such as last hitting, warding, farm, map controll etc etc etc is alot easier, and the concept of denying is vrtually removed so its easier for people to grasp but still not too easy for pros
oh yeah and dying isnt such of a big deal

Long before DOTA2. I've been playing lol for over a year and it was out way before that

Too bad Dota has been out since 2003.

You do know that the creators of DOTA are pretty much the creators of LoL and DOTA2 is published by Valve.

Know it very well. IceFrog, latest main dev of Dota, works on Dota 2. Two other guys went to LoL, if I remember correctly. Thing is, Dota 2 is the exact same thing as Dota, only with better UI and graphics (kay, minor skill changes from the original WC3 engine). So, the argument "LoL came before Dota 2" is retarded in every aspect.

Well timely LoL came before DOTA2, but you are right that LoL is less resembling the original DOTA than DOTA2 is. Makes sense why they call it a sequel, but DOTA was just a fun map for WC3, which means the developers were forced to work with the restrictions of the WC3 engine. That's the main reason why you are able to deny in the original game, because it's implemented in the game, it's n othing which the developers of DOTA thought out. Which also means that it doesn't have to be in the game to be DOTA.

Every little aspect of the original fun map, which are no longer present in LoL, got removed, because it was making the game very, very hard to play for newbies and so I would say it's not such a bad thing.
