It also has server connection and looking over your PSPad it does not. So In all honesty I have no idea why you think one TEXT editor 'not code editor' is any better...

Get your facts straight. PSPad has built FTP browser and pretty much all things you need for webdesign. I code in it for few years and I've used Notepad++. If you want basic replacement for Windows notepad, use Notepad++, good. But if you want to do any serious work, you're gonna use better code editors. P.S. PSPad has same, or maybe even more language extensions than Notepad+.

in HTML you dont need a open and close tags for styles such as, <li/>, <br/> etc.

And it depends anyway on the HTML interpreter anyway. In classic HTML's, like 4.01 or 5, there is no need for ending / on the end of non-pair tag, so using linebreaker as <br> is completely fine, as opposed to more XML oriented XHTML, where validator would scream if you didn't use <br /> (lol who I'm kidding, nobody uses validators).
