Go play the original DotA on wc3 if you want to learn without being yelled at. We're a lot more friendly there.

That is not true at all I still play dota 1 with my friends that refuse to move on to dota 2. The dota 1 community is filled with people who have been playing dota 1 for years and are all really good. So when a new player plays and dies 3 times in the first 5 minutes, his whole team rages much harder than those in dota 2.

Really? I've never seen a guy who wants to learn without getting a newer MOBA get raged at, ofc that's assuming he clarifies he wants to learn I suppose.

From my experience in the past 2 years, when someone says they are new in a pub game, someone says "gg afk" or just leaves. I feel the community has gotten better if you are an experienced player, a lot of the flamers have moved on. But I also feel it is a lot less accepting of new players. I have actually seen people telling new players to go play LoL or Dota 2 instead.
