Yeah, and DOTA's community is full of people who quit five minutes in for some vague or obscure reason, and cause half the people in the match to leave.

Uh, I've played DOTA and LoL. The communities are basically the same (at least at the low level), anyone who says one community is worse or better than the other is just fanboying in my opinion.

Ok well thats pretty hard to tell but i will try my best.

1. Fun game very different
2. Can be meant for trolls where you can deny your own creeps when they arebelow half health. Can do the same with towers when they have 1/6th left. Can kill courier
3. Courier is like your source of backing it will carry items into the lane for you and deliver the,
4. Most items require the secret shop which gives better items at a higher cost
5. Champion roster is unique not one character alike
6. ******** champs like huskar and sniper are played but are often shunned for being a win button

In short dota is good if you are looking for fun but can be very annoying at times.

I'd describe it like this. League has the better game, Dota has the better everything else.

Dota has some unnecessary mechanical work you've got to do that doesn't add a whole lot of depth to the game. The artwork isn't as appealing (imo. You may think differently). And league just seems more fun in general.

Dota though, does have a better community (not amazing, no moba's community is great, but league's is just god awful compared to anything). There are less english speakers on average, but people are generally a bit nicer than in league.
Dota also has awesome developers (valve!) who give you all content automatically for free, unlike in league where you have to grind for quite a while to get champions and runes( I think that's what they're called?) that only give stat boosts, which offers no actual gameplay other than to force you to grind more.

Overall, it really depends on your situation. If you play alone a lot, or don't have any friends that are as in to gaming, dota 2 is better as you won't have to deal with the awful league community as much. If you're looking to take a game seriously, dota 2's probably better, as there is a lot more depth, even if it is really mechanical.

If you're wanting to have fun (Which is what games are meant to be about after all) then play league. If you've got a lot of friends who'll play with you, league's gameplay feels a lot more fluid and is more fun.

Full of russians (All servers). It's harder to learn than LoL.

It's most definitely not a bad game, just not my cup of tea. Even when I really liked original dota.

You can kill your own creeps so that the enemy doesn't get gold from it. I'm not sure if it also doesn't give experience then.

I don't know. I haven't had problems with the LoL community, it's just that the bad people stick to your mind stronger than the good ones, which increases the feeling of " ****** community."
Sure, there are the occasional trolls but those are in every game, every community out there.

in reply to ALL of the comments arguing about LoL and Dota, i play LoL quite a bit and very rarely play Dota, but i can honestly say that Dota's community seems better, and there are a lot more mechanics in it than in Lol that most Lol players just dont recognize. i dont switch over jsut because Im used to Lol and that whoel thing. Plus the game is more visually...attractive?...to me than Dota is. Dota takes way more skill tho IMO

Funny thing, I actually have the source of that.

Its in regard to the new champion thats coming out.

Out pretty much an eyeball tentacle monster.

I plan on starting every match against female characters as it with "I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going"
