While technically supports, their skill sets do not fit into the role very well. Shen is a tank, like Rammus (having a taunt). The only supporting ability he has is his shield.

Zilean is an AP caster, preferably played in mid, his skillset would compliment the support field, but is ineffective when not played AP.

Galio the biggest offender for being a potential support also has only one support ability that only gives armour and magic resistance that heals HIM instead of the person using it, which if they changed it to that would be amazing, but effectively it's just like Morde's W without the AoE damage.

Before you mentioned Shen and Galio's taunts, if taunts were supporting abilities then Rammus would be classed as a support immediately, having the longest taunt in the game (bar Teemo).

Also, all of those champs have been successfully played in the support role. Just because they're tanks or fighters doesn't mean they can't support.

Blitz has the classifications of Fighter,Melee. Neither of those are support.

I play the game. i have been playing since beta. Those classifications made sense when the champs came out. Cho'gath is a fighter by all technicalities.

An ADC teemo is better than a support teemo

ADC teemo is not better than support. A support who sits in the bush as a perma ward and can blind someone. Any teemo I've seen who went bot and did well that wasn't supporting was ap. He really doesn't work well as a true adc. I've seen att speed, hybrid shred, ap, support, but never a good adc teemo.

No where on alistars page does it say he is a support.

Actually, Alistar isn't considered a "support" (Though he's part of the current supporting meta, I guess that exceptional) Though they play him support for the cc, and imo he's a better jungler/tank than a support
