Question in desc Halp please

I just want to ask, I have finished KH1 and got to the end screen, but how the hell do you finish KH2? Do you HAVE to defeat Sephiroth? Where do you go from there? I NEED to know, I just fly around visiting planets and I'm getting no where. I would rather ask people who know what they're doing instead of going through youtube tutorials.

Sephiroth gives you your ultimate weapon (pretty sure it's called ultima weapon like ff7 but its been over a year since I played it), other than that there is no need to fight him, though it is a pretty badass fight. To beat the game you go to "The world that never was", which is the last world, and it's pretty straight forward from there.

If you aren't up to this world yet you may have to refer to a tutorial.

Sephiroth is near impossible to beat unless you grind for forever first. He is NOT a requirement however, but you get a kickass keyblade if you beat him.

That said, to finish KH2, go to The World That Never Was, and get to the staircase at the far side. There, you will see a cutscene, then on the platform at the end of the stairs, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Kairi, and Riku will be standing around. You can talk to them, save (this is the last save point), then go to the big door. Once you go in, you can't go back. This will be the end of the game. There will be multiple miniboss and quicktime events before you get to the final battle. Finish this battle and you see the ending.

The metal chocobo (The keyblade that you get) looks like a car key

Sephiroth isn't a requirement boss to beat, he's located in Radiant Gardens on that one ledge where you first encounter Xemnas
Like everyone else is saying he just gives a really cool Keyblade

its simple each world has a keyhole logo in their info screen where the battle level is shown when you fly in front of them. if there is a keyhole amongst them that isnt yellow you havent completed it the world yet. After completing several keyholes like that, there will be a new gummyship level between twilight town and then you can continue to the final world via the mansions pc. You don't need sephirot to complet kingdom hearts 2, but it is needed for a 100% though.

He is just a side boss, but you do get a keyblade from him if you beat him, I have played Kh, Kh2, Kh 358/2 and kh birth by sleep. If you need any more information you are very welcome to message me with your questions.

Sephiroth gives you a big ass sword, but is useless for all else. I never even found him without my friend showing me where he is. You've missed something.
