if you do download it, play it the first time through as how you would honestly answer and react if you were in the character you play as' shoes, it'll make you more engaged in the story and not constantly looking up walkthroughs trying not to fuck up the ending you are trying to get

You dont get to choose directly, its more like the choices you make direct you more towards someone then eventually you'll be in their arc. Arc 1 (the beginning) is the stage where you choose a girl. Arc 2 + is just playing that girls arc.
