I've never had a girlfriend, so take this as you will. I have, however, made and maintained very close relationships to friends of mine. I also have never passed up wisdom given to me. If you ever shed tears that aren't happy ones, of physical pain, or come from a sad story (example: Of Mice and Men), talk about it. There's nothing wrong with it. It really helps. As I'm sure you do too, I bottle everything up until I burst, and then keep it to myself for another month or two after that. Yes, talking about your feelings is hard and gay, but it helps. But show her that you care about her enough to let her close to you, and that you're not scared to take a big step.

tl;dr: Talk to her.

God... God damn. And here I am reading stories about people feeling sad because they have good feelings for fake people. This is on a whole nother level. It's awful.
