Good, she has the worst personality of all of them, its weak, needy, and pointless. Emi watched her father die and she didn't become some social reject. She fucking flaunted that she lost her legs.

Not cool, man...not cool...Lilly is best girl. I feel bad for Hanako and all, but Hisao just tries too hard with her. Lilly and him actually feel like a decent couple.

And even with you smothering her she still loves you...
And now that you're gone... she still misses you...

Eh, Hanako's better off without Hisao as a boyfriend. She actually manages to make more friends when she's not being babied by Lilly and Hisao. They gave her the confidence to open up, but if you go after Hanako, Hisao and Lilly force their "protection" on her.

tl;dr Lilly's path helps Hanako become independent.

Hanako's story ends before Lilly even comes back from Scotland. For all we know, she could have ended up the same if not better off.

This is true, but Hanako's path writer wrote an epilogue to her path. She, in fact, only got worse. She ended up in an insane asylum for a while.

Hisao had another heart attack and ended up in a coma for a few days, and Hanako didnt want to go through losing someone so close to her again. She pretty much just shut down mentally and ended up in an asylum, so when Hisao woke up (since no one bothered to tell him), he thought Hanako just left him alone (like the girl at the start of katawa shoujo)

Hisao then takes up running, because he doesnt want to lose anything else because of his heart problems. 10 years later, he sees Hanako, they meet up and talk.

I only ever heard of one. If there are in fact others, then my point is totally invalid and you just may be perfectly right.

Either way, even though he DID right them, they aren't in the VN itself. So no matter if she got worse or better, it doesn't really count if you ask me :/

I almost started watching other anime on Netflix. I'm scared to go down that path...

Yea I can't say I was interested in anything anime related before KS... I almost regret even reading it.

After watching animes, and finishing them it gets depressing after the ending. Putting in all that time to have it end in a good 20 minutes...It gets to you. But I will reccomend some to you-

Mirai Nikki, Zero No tsukaima, clannad, Rosario + Vampire (Meh), Infinite stratos
Maybe more to your specific liking but still animes are better than what people assume.
