Visual Novels are just books written more directly towards the reader and the way they have so much impact just attests to how great of a medium they are, especially to people who are getting bored of normal fictional stories and want a tad bit more spice. While it's obviously anything in excess is bad, telling people not to play anymore VN's after playing Katawa Shoujo is the same as telling people not to read any more books after reading one that touched their heart. Why would they listen? They'd have to be stupid to do so. Personally, I like VN's for the reason I stated in the previously and the fact that they teach better moral lessons and have a positive impact on my life rather than a weeabooing aspect. Like in every other aspect of life, just sort fact from adorable fiction rather than avoiding it.

Katawa Shoujo is my first VN, now I look at my life how Hisao looks at his. I think about things thoroughly and I give myself two options when I really can't decide. I can see how these things effect your life as you state it, and yes, it's very true that anime doesn't do nearly as much to you as VN, but now whenever I get to know a cute girl who likes anime, I talk a bit too much about it and they get a little weirded out by all of the ecchi they then know that I've seen. Either way, refrain from too much of both

I am of the female gender and I actually fell in love with the characters. This game was so well made and it made me realize what some guys actually go through (some of the case scenarios are very much real, ex. Ignoring your bf who's trying to help you). TBH, it made me more thankful of my relationship! This game provokes thought and makes you want to feel what the main character feels...

I suggest this to anyone and everyone. It's just... A beautiful game. Being a girl or not, the game is just intensely awesome.

Play Lilly's arc. I didn't cry over Emi's but I did with Lilly's, especially the end of it.

Try for Rin's good ending. It's an emotional rollercoaster that ends very happily.

I'd have to say pry yourself away from it for a few days, try not to think about it. If you must continue i believe that the Hanako story line is mega feels.

It isn't necessarily if you agree to exercise, it is if you race her on the track the second day. I did my first time, had I not done that I would have had Hanako.
