Its the puzzle solving, and it being the only game on the Wii that acutally uses everything that the wiimote has to offer.
Where the story is concerned you are 100% right. Not a dull moment, I found myself actually feeling the characters emotions.
The areas. Yes going back to the same places 3 times is redundant but how they completely alter what you do in those areas was amazing in my eyes.

A sand ocean? I mean come on, that was creativity at it's finest.

Zelda SS? 10/10 in my eyes.

i just found it to be 1 giant fetch quest, at least in TP you were gaining a lot more than items along the way. i cant give it a 10 at all. because looking back MM is THE best zelda there is and probably ever will be. i disliked the art style of ss greatly. puzzles were unique and the silent realms had me shitting my pants. i felt like nintendo just shook the wiimote in front of me and was like "REMEMBER THIS???" every fucking enemy you had to use the motion plus in order to defeat and that shit still doesnt work 100%. GAMEPLAY as in mechanics, it was far inferior to previous games. It felt very samey over and over to me, yeah sand ocean and the ship were the best parts. but come on. fighting the condemned 3 times? fuck you and your filler fights nintendo.
