Every time humanity reaches a certain level of advancement - say, the ability to understand and manipulate the fundamental forces of the universe - an infinityel massive and dense amount of antimatter containing the four basic elements (carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen) from the anti-matter universe comes here and wipes everything out of existence while the universe collapses in on itself. Every time the universe is destroyed, one person is chosen to inherit the memories of their universe and all those previously chosen and lives on into the next universe. The universe will undergo this process 42 times (which is where the special number comes from) before reaching perfect equilibrium, i.e., nirvana.

Or something like that.

If anyone were to find out both the ultimate question to life the universe and everything, and the ultimate answer (42) this would happen. I recently finished "life the universe and everything" Great book, Great series. 10/10 would bang read

Well, if god exists, we may assume that he is a being that exists outside of time, which would mean that he was always there. I personally believe that he adjusts the laws of nature (the strength of gravity, for example) each time a new universe is born. He then sits back, observing the universe in all it's complexity, and when the universe ends, he makes a new one, slightly different.

I'm not saying you're wrong, or trying to trample your beliefs, but what's the point of that? To you, WHY must there be that thing? Why must there be a God who just "creates a universe then sits back", I don't understand.

Where does that necessity come from? The Big Bang Theory (A THEORY mind you) explains the entire thing. Is it simply because you don't think it could have just "happened"? If so, why is that?

The idea of a god that just sits there and plays like a child with playdough is just, frankly, ludicrous and pointless mind you.

i prefer the idea of a god that does not interfere to the idea of a god who plays with us. I don't know how you got the idea that what i said was the idea of "a god that just sits there and plays like a child with playdough". The god i described tweaks the laws of nature to improve the universe, and then does not interfere. He values free will to the point of not interfering when millions die. This i find VERY preferable to a god who interferes, and thereby indirectly is responsible when millions die.

Regardless, any idea of god is, inevitably, pointless, as there really is nothing we can do about it.

Well, no, something is always going to have to start something, or it would have never happened at all. For example, the start of the universe was an explosion, expanding gasses. If you say that something MUST have started it then what started the thing that started it?

It continues to go like that, so we can assume that it wouldn't need something to start until we actually find something.

The idea of a "God" or the "Creator" is totally fine but that God necessarily doesn't determine our every move, answer prayers etc, which is the outlook.

"Equivalent exchange" is a lot more than just a concept in Fullmetal Alchemist. It is impossible to get something from nothing, meaning that there could not have been nothing before the Big Bang.

judaism: everything was mixed together in chaos, god said "let there be light", big flash of light, creation of the world.

There are more theories than the Big Bang, ya know. I can't remember which it is, but there's one that is basically 'the universe always existed and will always exist, and any changes in size are merely cycles it goes through'.
