Actually, if it's possible in game without abusing a break in the game, such as leaving a map, then it's a legitimate strategy.

Camping isn't exploiting, it's sitting around a turn or standing in a sniper's nest without moving for most of the game. It's a tactic. While your team is running around facing the enemy head oh, you're waiting to catch someone off guard because they don't see you. Not an exploit.

But, seriously, just avoid the spot. And if you fall for it, it's your fault for falling for the trap anyway. Just play the game and quite getting your panties in a bunch.

If it annoys you feel free to ignore my comment, however the spots are so plentiful that it almost ruins the spirit of Halo and the image the creators had in mind when creating it. Halo is the most unrealistic shooter out there. You know why? Because it isn't about winning, it's about the fun shit that happens along the way. People who camp just to get kills to win are clearly missing the point of the game, which is to have fun.
