To be honest I actually kinda saw him being a bad guy coming, due to the fact that Connor was announced as the main character, I figured he was ether A) Connor's dad B) Connor's mentor C) Main Villain D) A very short and pointless memory that ended with him dieing. And truth behold, even after he was the villain him and his merry band of marry men didn't seem to change that much, except for Charles. Almost everything about him seemed to change after he became a Templar, everything from his attitude, to the way he talked, but what really got me was how he seemed to go from a refined look to a sweaty douchebag look.

That being said I still thought AC3 was the best AC, however the ending did suck though.......

That was one of the things that really pissed me off about that game. Haytham, Pitcairn, Charles they all seemed like good guys really out for good of mankind. but just because they were Templars, suddenly they turned into serious assholes, Charles was not racist against the natives until he we found out he is a templar, Ubisoft made them suddenly into biased assholes just because they were templars. Plus Haytham was vastly more entertaining than monotonous Conner.

If you read up on the profile of Church and how he liked to "cut" things, that's when it started looking shady as to what the real motives were with Haytham and his crew. So they did throw in clues, you just had to read up on it, and it just wasn't all of a sudden racist, biased characters, it's also called putting on a front, pretty much disguising your true personality and intentions.

Between us, I'd of prefered to play the entire game as him; he was a super bad ass and it would of been a new experience playing as a ruthless templar.

Oh, I even had an inkling at some point, thinking "Hey, these guys are kinda sketch", but noooooo. They wooed me with their LIES!

you obviously have the 360 version. The ps3 version has only minor bugs that rarely happen and load times are extremely short ( about 7 seconds when exiting and entering animus)

The testers aren't doing their jobs is what I'm saying. Most of the glitches I have encountered would have been found if they had done more extensive tests. They probably just played through it and were like "this works, yup, works. K its good."

...and since an end user like you finds them, don't you think that it is very, very, VERY likely that a person who seeks bugs for a living did NOT miss it?
I'm just saying, most of the times is NOT the QA's fault.

You've obviously never done QA for a game. Some bugs don't happen often enough to appear every play through. Theres usually 1 tester per section of game, so only one player tests the game section and he/she may never find a certain bug that slips through.
Different companies do it differently but every time I've done QA thats what I've experienced.

It's funny... since I'm a tester for 4 years...
And you have no idea how solving one bug usually causes 10 more different bugs.

Trust me, I've done open world testing recently, we've reported thousands of bugs; while for some builds things were ok, all of a sudden a change in the code can fuck shit up, bad.

i.e.: It's more than likely that fixing a floating tree from a spot will cause other 3 different issues, than for the problem to be fixed for good

Oh i know haha. It seems we've both had different debugging experiences. The quality of the coder can change what happens in testing.

We one had a a bug where our character kept glitching into the wall. We fixed it only to have the enemies start doing it, and then the character started disappearing a lot.

Code is a fickle bitch.

5 minutes later magic force field covers the entire earth and stops solar flare. I just started fucking laughing.

Let me put it this way there are 4 major problems I have with the end.

1: Tinia and Minerva lead Desmond to that temple, they want him to go their, but they already knew what was in the temple and they knew it could not save the planet, Minerva says that right at the end she says they found out about the technology Juno was building which was just meant to keep her alive for ages it was never meant to save the world, they thought they had stopped her but clearly they hadn't but they still knew the technology was pointless yet they led him their anyway.

2: The technology itself, like I said it wasn't for saving the planet it was a device to keep her alive, so just because she is released does not mean the world is saved, but suddenly she is some all powerful god and her very existence saves the world, if that was the case why didn't she do it the first time.

3: Like I said space magic, suddenly a magic force field surrounds the earth, no satellites no preparation, just magic plain and simple and Juno is not capable of magic nor was she gaining power as she rested in the device, the first civ is basically a more advanced human race not even demigods.

4: I'll make this quick, Desmond's character is completely changed at the end, he has already said multiple times he does not trust the first civ and still believes in freedom and then he just easily chooses the option that means the enslavement of humanity.

So their you go, just as bullshit as ME.

It completely fucks with continuity. The whole series they say that they did have the technology to save the earth but it was too late for them to use it in their cycle. Like you said, Minerva wanted him to go there. Plus, they knew how late it would be when Desmond got her mesage, why did she complain saying they had enough time to prepare but didn't use it properly. Also, if that was where Juno was sealed away, why did they desperately want him to go there in the first place. Lastly, where is this decendant of Eve? Juno told Desomond to seek her out in Brotherhood. The ending goes against everything the Assassin's fought for. At least ME 3 had the possibility of indoctirination (as much as I hate how fanboys cling to that theory). This just comes out of no where. I blame the templars.

HERE, TAKE THIS

Hey after Haytham, and seeing that assassins would be dumb enough to let an obvious crazy bitch into the world I've begun to shift sides. That was another thing that really pissed me off Haytham was a nice and polite guy, but just as soon as we learn he is a templar he become a ruthless asshole and Charles is suddenly racist, like they just made up reasons for us to dislike them. Plus when it came down to Conner or Haytham, I pick Haytham, Conner was bland and entertaining.

If they make another AC3 game like they did with AC2, I hope we play as Haytham. I really liked him. He wasn't as ruthless as you make him out to be (Plus that was like 14, maybe 15, years later). He had his reasons for his actions (though the Boston massacre still puzzles me). His death scene is probably my favorite in any game. They way he shows admiration for his son was great in my opinion. Connor wasn't so bad. A bit naive and stuck up, but I've seen worse protagonists. But yeah, Charles' motivation could've been better.

Also at the end of the game you see the gravestone

I'd say get Brotherhood and Revelations, just so tat you can catch up on all of the background story and no be totally confused as to how the hell Desmond got where he was in the first place.

As far as story goes, they aren't absolutely crucial. They're both excellent games though and I'd highly recommend them.

the beginning of AC3 does a quick recap of what has happened up until that point, so you can get the story straight without having to go through 2 whole games just to understand it, though I do highly recommend Brotherhood, not so much Revelations. (Revelations disappointed me)

Well if you want I can just give you a breakdown on Desmond's story in those two games. Ezio become completely unimportant so he doesn't really matter
