I don't give a **** . Hate gays. Don't hate gays. I really really don't care.
Just because some guy who happens to own a company hates gays I don't feel that should stop anyone. He could want to personally cut off all of our balls and then stick us with 10,000 tooth picks and light us on fire and I still wouldn't give a single **** over what some dude things. That chicken is pretty ******* good so I'm gonna eat it no matter what the people that own it believe.
User avatar #99 to #86 - Rockerdax (10/10/2013) [-]
But it wasn't just his opinion, he was putting that money into anti-gay organizations that spread ridiculous propaganda across the globe and try to convert gay kids into straight ones.

Supposedly they don't fund those organizations now, but I find it a bit hard to believe.

Well, in the early 00s and further back pretty much every homosexual was represented as flamboyant and prissy. Now times have changed and the spotlight is shared with a variety of homosexuals, if they are lucky enough to get on tv for any reason.

But that's just television in general. If you want to talk about television PROGRAMS aka tv shows, oh holy **** are they full of gay stereotypes. Watch a sitcom with a gay couple on CBS, you'll either love it because "they're so gay teeheehee" or you'll hate it because "they're so gay, this is just unrealistic for most people!!" My reaction is the ladder.

Unfortunately yes, lesbians and transgenders are rarely recognized. Transgenders usually only get on TLC documentaries solely focused on them, which goes to show just how "new" this seems to be for most people.

While flamboyancy should not be shamed or discouraged, it shouldn't be represented as or expected of gay men.

But I'm just speaking for the sake of it, I know people on here are pretty cool with "the gay" and don't need to hear this from me.

My parents actually just took away all of my clothes saying that "I'm a girl, so I need to dress like one." And that by me dressing like a guy, I make people uncomfortable and it's shoving my sexuality in peoples faces.
I also had to delete my facebook for posting this picture. They said if I were dressed as a woman, the picture would've been okay. Funny thing is, those were all woman's clothing.

Oops, posted personal issues.

thats one thing i dont get a lot of the times my parents are both major christians and same with my grandparents and they support gay rights and everything like that then you get those assholes who dont think its ok for the same sex to like each other thats why i just quit religion in total

I don't want to offend you, take this as a compliment....I reeeaaaallly like girls who look like guys. The reason why I say don't be offended is because well...I'm a gay GUY!

Recently this girl came to my school that looked a lot like you except with black hair, and I wasn't sure whether they were a guy or a girl, but I thought their boyish clothes along with their feminine shape would make them such a sexy and compatible boyfriend for me! <3

And then I realized they were a girl, and I still haven't spoken to her yet but when I do I hope I can be good friends. She's so boyish looking I could totally kiss her and hug her and like it! >:o

I just wanted to get that off my chest. You're hot, and so is your girlfriend even though girls aren't attractive to me. But I DO know attractive when I see it. :3

Picture related because it's technically the opposite of what I expected from the ambiguous gender student from my high school

#7 to #3 - alexandervascus (10/09/2013) [-]
Gay refers to men, lesbian refers to women. Homosexuality refers to attraction of the same sex a whole. That's why there's something called a LGBT (Lesbian GAY Bisexual and Transexual) movement. They're separated for a god damn reason.
User avatar #10 to #7 - zight ONLINE (10/09/2013) [-]
1gay adjective \ˈgā\
: sexually attracted to someone who is the same sex

: of, relating to, or used by homosexuals

: happy and excited : cheerful and lively

Now **** you, he was right, but i Know "muh context".
i bet i just ruined your gayness in terms of the last meaning
#12 to #10 - alexandervascus (10/09/2013) [-]
First off, calm down.
Secondly, no lesbian wants to be called "gay". That decision was decided long before my time.
Thirdly, I'm not gay and to be perfectly honest it weirds me out (but supportive)
Modern day usage of gay is separated due to social quo. Lesbians and Gays want to be considered separated. Just like transexuals don't want to be called either male or female (regardless of what their DNA will show) I didn't come up with the separation, the LGBT community did.

First off, no one is mad so there is no need to calm down

Secondly, i know a bunch of lesbians that could care less

Thirdly, that cool you support gay people even if you find it creepy, not sure what the point of that was.

female dog's are still referred to as bitch even if some people don't like it. a fag is a cigarette. modern day usage of everything is changed depending on where you are from. so there is no one way to state anything.
#15 to #14 - alexandervascus (10/09/2013) [-]
Well you're correct, cultures will always interpret things differently. However, you seemed mad since you did say " **** you" to me. But I'll be willing to let that slide out of just spur of the moment reaction. Just as I should have given a disclaimer about the context of my OP image. It was entirely irrelevant, I really just love using that picture.

On the subject of lesbians with the title of gay, I should have probably said "majority" rather than "no".

I have gay friends, and they want gay marriage legalized, and when I get the chance I'll vote for its legalization. But to be honest, I don't want to see gay sex, or kissing for that matter. (But to be honest I find kissing revolting regardless of the two in question)
User avatar #18 to #15 - zight ONLINE (10/09/2013) [-]
ok thank you for clarifying all that
User avatar #36 to #12 - tepe (10/09/2013) [-]
I normally call myself gay, because referring to myself as "a lesbian" sounds like more of a title, whereas being simply gay sounds like a state of being.

I thought gay could refer to both, but it generally refers to two males. It's like the difference between gods and goddesses. Zeus is a god but not a goddess, and Hera is generally considered a goddess, but can also be a called a god. Or at least I think anyways. Googling things is way to hard.
