Hey guys. Sometimes I go around on FJ and give people my opinion on computer build projects they are working on, and how they can improve their build.
Now I'm here to ask for the same thing back. I am a technician at a refurbishing company, I repair computers for a living so I DO know a bit about what I am doing, but I wanted to get the opinion of my fellow FJers aswell, in case I missed something.
My budget is around $1300 (taxes ftw yo) but going a little bit over is fine. Here is what I currently have:

I'm getting the wifi adapter so I can miracast to my roku. My computer will generally be on a wired connection.

Get a WD Red if you want a quiet HDD.
That one is bad for desktop use.

Also, myself I'm a fan of the Strix 970, only model of 970 that didn't have brain grinding coil whine that I've come across and 0 RPM mode.

Myself I think that case looks like cancer.

Don't have those in Sweden so I wouldn't know.
But from what I could gather from 1 min from google they seem to have rather high ripple, considering we're on the high end.

Well, a Corsair RMi or Power Flower Leadex are pretty badass.
But I guess a 750 W version of the one you have is great as well.

Personally I would've gone with RMi because they have 0 RPM fan, digital design and monitoring, least ripple of any PSU on the market.

The problem with these corsair's is that they are a bit on the high end of price and I am on a budget

Stay away from those.
The RMi and AXi series are way better than any other serie of Corsair PSUs.

But if you're on a tight budget, shopping for a high end PSU in the first place is rather ill advised.
Unless you're a paranoid nutjob who is really afraid of electricity.

Well yeah.
Probably the best damn PSU on the market for <=2 GPU builds.
Because, you know, efficiency curves based on % of max load and stuff.
Don't want to put a 1500 W PSU in a 300 W build.

Also, reading reviews on the GPU's that were mentioned (The FTW and the Strix) - people seem to complain more on the Strix about coil whine then on the FTW. Have you had personal experience with the FTW?

I've come across 2 G1s, 1 MSI Gaming, and 1 Strix.
And I know the Strix boasts about having premium components to reduce coil whine and from what I can tell that is very accurate.

It is extremely hard to know these things before having the damn thing in front of you.
I'd suggest getting it somewhere you can return it for cheap.

Gonna update my thread in a moment, also changing a bit of my rules, deciding I will buy from either newegg OR amazon - because I can save up to like $50 on some parts through amazon.

I know you said you like fractals, but are there any other cases you like? More show-offy ones?

Well, unless you want your components deep fried you're gonna need to add fans to your case since it only comes with one - which is totally unacceptable.
And it doesn't have a fan controller so you're gonna have to figure out that one.

Oh and the fan that does comes with your case is probably gonna run 100% because it's probably not 4 pin and your mobo only has 4 pins.

***** , I can't be arsed to look over every damn case on the market.

As for fans you gotta decide on how you want to control them.
Either you get all aftermarket fans and use your motherboard's PWM.

Get a case with a fan controller.

Or you buy a fan controller.

But be warned that stock fans are usually crap and that some fans really shouldn't be mounted horizontally.

Correction: It has a higher rated stock boost clock.
Which basically means nothing.
Read up review on coil whine.
