Only Glee can take a Lady GaGa song and make it more auto tuned-pop than the original.

I hate how people think I'm indecisive because I'm bisexual. I like pussy and I like dick. Simple as that.

WEELLL.

Glee has several gay characters, only two of which are stereotypes.
So uhm.
Yeah okay. Thumb me down.

Take joy in the fact that you don't know and keep it that way. Trust me, it's for the best.

I think Doctor Who does the best job at using gay characters without making a big, fluffy and absolutely fabulous deal out of it.

Just something as simple as the East European guy's conversation in The Waters of Mars. "Oh, my brother's husband is such a big spender" and that whole deal. It's a normal freaking conversation! Media needs moar like that.

...that awkward moment when you're reading game of Thrones and thought Renly was some kind of ladies man until you saw this post... oops o.O

really? you're all absolutely idiotic. obviously, none of you have EVER watched glee. that scene was used a joke. as a gay guy, i can tell you that glee has actually helped MANY people deal with their sexualities by using realistic plotlines. one gay character came out and tried to kill himself because he was threatened by everyone. whether or not you like glee, it helps a lot of gay teens cope. also, while we're on it, let me talk about Chris Colfer. Chris is probably one of the youngest celebrities to ever come out and be an instant role model for gay youth. He has done a LOT of work with the Trevor Project ("It Gets Better") and countless other LGBT campaigns. Not to mention that in real life, he's actually an expert with sai swords. Gethin Anthony isn't even gay. So don't even try to say that Chris Colfer is a "faggot". And don't try to say that Gethin Anthony should be more of a pro-gay role model than someone who has actually struggled with sexuality his whole life. do some research before making assinine content. rant over. red thumb me in the ass, i don't care.

Glee's character is a clear example of the "token" character.

He's just there to be gay, being gay is not just a trait of his character, being gay IS his character.

It's forced diversity.

The guy in Glee is a holdover from the 90s, when every gay character was a flamboyant, limp-wrist stereotype. I'm never a fan of characters who are made to be pointed at and say "he's gay, but he doesn't care! Lol, he's so courageous!" True, characters should be written with a distinct personality in mind, but blatant symbolism gets on my nerves.

You'd think they'd learn that there's a difference between having a gay character, and having a character who just so happens to be gay, but apparently, it's time for the new, up to date version of blaxploitation. There's a difference between having a fully fleshed out character who happens to belong to a minority group, and having a character who IS that minority group. It's called a token, and having a token on your wannabe Broadway show that does ****** covers of good songs does not make your show progressive. Doctor Who and Game of Thrones are the only two shows I've seen that don't do a big gay fabulously stereotypical dance about having LGBT characters.
