Alright. I've never seen GoT and after seeing so much stuff and so many spoilers about (I could care less about spoilers) Should I watch GoT?

Game of Thrones is so well done, that fans keep going back to it no matter how many times it hurts them.

You absolutely should. It is not just gory AF and full of tits and blood, its superb dialogue and terrific actors, rich set design and some of the ******* coolest armor and costumes goddamn ever.

The only thing that was **** about season 5 was some of the changes from the books that made no sense and cutting many interesting and important characters. I don't mind some changes, but not when it's stupid changes.

The death of characters doesn't make the show bad, in my opinion it turns the show more interesting and unpredictable if anyone can die.

Besides, Jon Snow is obviously going to be ressurected by Melissandre
User avatar #11 to #6 - minorian (07/06/2015) [-]
What important characters did they remove? Have you considered that it already has a gazillion main characters, and it might have worked in book-form, but the plot would get too stretched out with too many characters in the series?

Lady Stoneheart is the one who pisses me off the most, I thought it was one of the most unexpected and mind blowing (insert Oberyn joke here) moments in the series and they cut her off from the show (although I admit maybe she's not that important, but the idea of a badass pissed off zombie Catelyn killing Freys, Boltons and Lannister around Westeros is awesome.

The whole Davos' arc, I think it's important because is a last hope for the Starks, it feels good to know there's someone actively supporting the Starks.

Arianne Martell, for some reason they didn't include her and I think she would be a great addition to the Dorne storyline which the show totally ****** up, because it would show how open minded the Dornish are by allowing women to rule. Also, instead of killing a little girl for vengeance against the Lannisters ("We do not hurt little girls in Dorne", Oberyn), she is trying to get Myrcella to the Iron Throne and make her rule Westeros).

I don't know if it's true but I heard they are not going to include Aegon Targaryen on the show and, even though I think he's not gonna get anywhere near the Throne, a legitimate contender to the Throne is still a pretty big deal (even if he's a Blackfyre).

Also I heard they're cutting off Victarion Greyjoy, one of my favorite characters and the most badass man in Westeros.

Then there's many other side characters but I reckon you're right, it would be too many characters and storylines, but still I think it would make the show a lot more interesting and fans could handle a few more characters, they're not that stupid
Instead of wasting time with that Jaime's trip to Dorne they could have focused on more interesting things.

I have little knowledge about GoT other than the series, but I have talked with people who know their **** .

Don't you think they will resurrect the Stark-storyline in season 6 or 7? Catelyn's uncle is still at large, and there's still that cousin in Frey's dungeon + the Umbar's are still hiding the youngest Stark-child, or at least that was the plan, when he left Bran. I don't know, what you mean by Davos and Starks. I can't remember how those two are related, but I love Davos, so that would have been awesome.

I think the Dorne-storyline was a bit stretched too, but I preferred it to nearly everything we have seen with Bran... I laughed my ass off, when that old fart said he was going to fly. I can't imagine a way that WON'T look completely ridiculous, except if he's gonna turn into a raven

Didn't Myrcella die in the books or what? I think it was a really good scene, especially with Jaime's character-development in mind, but I don't know the alternative in the book, so I can't say what I would prefer.

Please be gentle with the spoilers. I have no problem with talking about future characters, but please no huge plot twists or death of characters!

I don't think I can spoil much since the show now is so different from the books

Yeah, I think the Starks will still have his vengeance, mainly with Arya becoming a badass assassin and Bran some kind of powerful wizard. And by flying I think he means warging into a bird or even ride a dragon.

From what I remember in the books Davos goes to White Harbor to convince Wyman Manderly (Lord of White Harbor) to join Stannis' cause. He arrests Stannis since some Freys were with him and he's allied to the Lannisters and fakes his death by hanging a guy similar to him covered in tar with the tips of his fingers chopped off too and then reveals to Davos that one of his sons died at Red Wedding and the other was held captive and now returned home and that he was pretending to support the Lannister and assigns Davos the task to get Rickon who was last seen leaving to Skagos with Tysha, since he still supports the Starks.

Myrcella didn't die, but Arianne Martell tried to take her from Dorne but the guards appeared and one of them attacked her in order to start a war between the Lannisters and Dorne and she lost an ear.

Jaime had a storyline where he went to the Riverlands to conquer some castles but he also has some character development, which the best part is when he burns Cersei's letter asking for his help when she got arrested, basically telling her to **** off. Jaime's Dorne storyline in the TV show will have the same effect, with Myrcella's death, it will turn the Lannisters against Dorne.

Maybe Bran wargs INTO a dragon!?!?!
User avatar #19 to #18 - meathooksodomy (07/06/2015) [-]
That would be even better, for some reason never thought about that.

Damn, I was hoping Jaime would do more with his new found redemption, other than just ******* his sister up in yet another way.

If he means flying as in warging into birds, then that's ******* misleading. We already know he can warg into animals. How could they treat it as such a plot twist, if all he meant was that he could warg into birds too, when that was already ******* obvious that he would be able to that, since he can even warg into humans. Honestly, even if Bran somehow got a dragon to warg into, he would still be really boring. I am really looking forward to the emotional scenes with him, when he realizes how ****** up his family is now. In every scene since he left Winterfell, I have hoped it would be his last.

It sounds like the Frey's were a real House, like the Starks, Tyrells, Ironborn etc, in the books, whereas he's just an old man with a bridge in the series, lol

Knowing about all this **** , how big a chance is there of these theories actually happening:

Jon Snow getting resurrected and going for the iron throne

The Clegane Cup: The Hound, representing the Gods against The Mountain, representing "science"

Also, what the **** is up with the Lord of Fire? Is he actually a demon deity or something? He can't really be a benevolent God with all the **** Melissandre has done

- Jon Snow getting resurrected and going for the iron throne

I think it's almost certain Jon is going to get ressurected, I think he will a play a very important role later on against the White Walkers (google the Azor Ahai theory), but I can't see him on the Iron Throne. If the R + L = J theory is correct then he has a rightful claim but I think he wouldn't want to rule, he's very modest so he probably would think he's not worthy or something.

- The Clegane Cup: The Hound, representing the Gods against The Mountain, representing "science"

It's almost confirmed in the books that The Hound is alive, George gave too many hints, but I don't know if that will happen, he's far away from Kings Landing and I don't know if the High Sparrow even knows he's alive but since he follows the same religion as the Elder Brother maybe he told him or something, but that would be amazing to see, but the fact that Gregor is a zombie and not a real human kinda takes away some of the fun, but still, anything is possible.

- Also, what the **** is up with the Lord of Fire? Is he actually a demon deity or something? He can't really be a benevolent God with all the **** Melissandre has done

I think the Lord of Light is a real deity, maybe the only real one. Melissandre can see the future on the flames, used the leeches to kill the kings (maybe she just saw the future and lied about the leeches thing), Thoros of Myr ressurected Beric 7 times and Lady Stoneheart and in the books there's another red priest who also sees the future so I believe he's the real God or some kind of higher power.
User avatar #26 to #25 - minorian (07/06/2015) [-]
Yeah, I forgot to include the part of the theory that says Jon is a Targaryen. If that gets confirmed, then he either must have something to do with Daenerys or a claim to the iron throne, eh? I can't see another reason for him to not be Ned's "love child" after all, since the only other reason would be for the relations between the Stark family themselves, but that really isn't an issue anymore

Oh, the Mountain is really a full on zombie? Damn, I had hoped he was still "the Mountain" at least to some extent. There's really no reason for them to fight if he's just fighting a zombie "mini"on anyway.

I know that the Lord of Light is real, that's obvious enough with all the **** Melissandre does, and it can't just be her own magic, since there's that Tyr guy you mentioned, but I am just considering if he is not a "God" as in the typical sense. You know, one that all men's fate are bound to. Isn't it possible that he is just a power like the White Walkers? Simply a being more powerful than men with it's own agenda?

My two biggest wishes for Game of Thrones is the resurrection of Jon and the return of Sandor Clegane, so it's really awesome that one with so much knowledge on the area as you, say that it's that certain.
User avatar #27 to #26 - meathooksodomy (07/07/2015) [-]
I don't how Dany would react if she found out that there's another (or two) Targaryens, maybe she's going to see them as rivals.

The Mountain is a full on zombie because on the books Doran Martell asked for The Mountain's head as a proof he was dead and he received a very large skull, and The Mountain (now known as Ser Robert Strong) has never taken his helmet off (so we don't know if actually has a head) and never eats or drinks.

Maybe the Lord of Light is exactly what you said and I hope it is, I don't want Gods in ASOIAF, since there's magic maybe he's, like you said, a being more powerful than men.

You can read here the theory about Sandor Clegane and all the hints:
awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Gravedigger/Theories

You seem to be really interested on ASOIAF, I really recommend you to read the books, even if you already know most of what will happen, they're still pretty good and there's many details and some backstory. Also, if you're interested, you can watch "Game of Thrones: A Complete History and Lore" videos on Youtube, it's four videos (about 1 hour each) about the story of Game of Thrones narrated by the actors, you ca n learn a lot.

They removed a bunch of important and interesting characters, but included the ******* Sand Snakes, and as a result we got the worstest fight scene, poison powered by boners, and bad pussy. The show has no excuses.
