He's pretty swag. Basically the only honorable man in all of Westeros. The story is set up in book/ season 1 to make it seem as if he'll be the morally justified hero, something akin to a Luke Skywalker, then he gets murked for not being devious enough.
Anyone else unimpressed with the new season? I know it's only 4 episodes in and I shouldn't be so judgmental but I just feel like this season has been a lot more underwhelming in comparison to it's preceding seasons. Opinions anyone, I actually want to know what you guys think.
I saw only first two episodes yet but yeah I have the same feeling.
Second episode was always introducing something ,,shocking" (like death of that cunt Joffrey) but nothing like that has happened.
Book reader here- I hate to break it to ya, but the next 2 1/2 books were incredibly boring (in my opinion anyway). I guess it's partly because season 4/book 3 was so epic. I think the series producers are going to liven it up though, they seem to have done that already.
I kinda feel like by this point GRRM just got tired of the series. I don't blame him, writers just do sometimes. There are some pretty massive cliffhangers at the end of the latest book though, which was probably the most interesting part coming up
interesting I was actually planning on reading the books on account of already ruining it for myself and finding out about a bunch of spoilers. But I think I'll just stick with the show for now. I was wondering, without giving anything away does it at least get better after the 2 1/2 portion of the books or does it keep this slow pace that it's had for the past few episodes?
Some good stuff DOES happen, but the problem is it's immediately followed by the end of the book with no follow up. It's like if everyone's chapters ended with (for example) Ned Stark's death- it's a shocking/exciting moment, but it's not worth much without the follow up. Good news if you're just watching the series, though- they're actually condensing the boring bits a lot. Even at this point I can tell that one of the cliffhangers from the end of the last book will be in this season. Happy watching/reading either way!
