Both they and also Martin himself made clear that GoT and SoIaF are two different things years ago.
When will this "hurr durr that was supposed to be different" **** finally end?

Completely removing Arianne Martell and making Jaime and Bronn fight the Sand Snakes, as well as poisoning Myrcella are FAR more than "small changes." Just pointing out Martin and them saying that the two are different is irrelevant, because he said it would be just a small change, when it COMPLETELY changed the plot in Dorne.

The differences aren't supposed to just be "small changes".
GoT and SoIaF are two DIFFERENT THINGS. Meaning that there could be GIGANTIC differences and this would still be 100% legit.

I'm only talking in the context of this image so them supposed to be different is not relevant.

I'm okay with the deviations. I like the series, but I love the books. I don't want the show to spoil the books for me, so I'm okay if they change the plot. But yes, Book Jaime is better.

The Sand Snakes were a pretty godawful change.

"You want a good girl, but you need the bad pussy" was a ******* awful line and a terrible addition.

I will give you that. It was terrible writing. Sand Snakes were also more badass in the books. Again, at least the terrible writing didn't ruin the book.
