I'm not trying to justify michaelrosen's immense faggotry, but I have to say, when you got in to measuring, most of the American ways actually does make less sense to me. Sure, there might be something behind it, but you have to agree that things like millimeters, centimeters and meters make more sense than inches and whatever they're called. Not that I actually care that much, since it really doesn't concern me. Neither do I have anything against it, again because it doesnt concern me that much, but it would be interesting to know, what do you actually think about the way you measure things, and how good would you say it is compared to our way of measuring things?

I prefer metric. It just makes more sense. Even as an American, I am clueless as to why we use a less accurate and less standardized system of measurement. The date thing on the other hand makes more sense to me. Maybe it's just because i grew up with it. Also when I see a date as 12/21/2012 it reads in my head as December/12th/two-thousand twelve. For some reason when I see 21/12/2012 it just throws me off.

Believe it or not, for every science course, and job in a science related field we use metric. The only instances of us using the "standard" system is in manufacturing, engineering, and household stuff (cooking, shopping for hardware etc..). Messed up isn't it?
