great job, you put some text on the image we just saw.
No really, you deserve a medal and a personal 'Thank you" from the president of the United States.

It depends what version of the story you believe. It all centres around a man called Mark Duggan. He was shot and killed by an Armed police unit while in a taxi on the way to visit his cousin or something. The police say he had a gun on his person and aimed it at police so they fired and killed him. Then it was discovered he didn't have a gun on his person in the taxi and it was in some bushes in a shoebox right by where they shot him. Then a ******** story came out about a bullet that was lodged in a radio of a police officer, so he did have a gun. Then it was said a bullet the police fired deflected off of Mark and hit an officer. The local community were protesting outside the police station on the road pictured, asking for answers because of the conflicting stories, a couple of dick heads came down from other areas in London to start trouble, and set a police car on fire. From there, things went from bad to worse and loads of people in the area saw it as an opportunity to cause trouble and get free stuff.
<TL/DR> Some guy got shot, police said he had gun then didn't have gun then did have gun, people protested outside police station asking for answers, someone set a police car on fire, more people set stuff on fire and robbed shop, riots had began.

The only time peoples houses got touched is if they were above shops, and even then, it was only if the shop was set on fire. The stories were exaggerated by the media to make them appear worse than they were to be honest. But when it had all quietened down, the community came together in a way I've never seen before. Usually, Tottenham is a really bad area, stabbings, shootings and robberies that the news don't even report on anymore because it happens so frequently. But everyone pulled together to help out each other. In a way in made the community stronger. I guess those who burn down Carpet-Right together, stay together.

Pic related-It's carpet right

Damn. good story before I hit the hay. Remember hearing a similar incident in the far east (China or Taiwan i think it was, but cant remember) where a riot halted and both the rioters and police forces worked together to put out a fire in a shop caused by a mis-thrown Molotov cocktail.

Random-ish gif for you.
